Data was acquired using the equipment Bruker Titan S1 to geological chert samples from the Algarve region (LJW, MJE, UJE, UJW, TW) [1], central Portugal from the LusoLit lithotheque (CPT) [2], cherts from the Universidad de Cadiz lithotheque (UCA), and archaeological samples organised by chert type [3]. \nA Bruker portable XRF Titan S1 was used in a laboratory benchtop setup, powered by battery (with up to 25% battery charge before being replaced by a fully charged battery). The standard databases available in the equipment from Bruker were employed: Geochem application and the Dual Mining method.
